Ok, so I found this metal detecting in my yard a few days ago.
When I first found it I thought OH it has writing so into the pocket it went.
After cleaning I recognized it as being a luggage tag and with further cleaning it reads A.J.Smith Lancaster Cal. and on the back STERLING with a hall mark and 222
Now I know i've seen this mark before and I'm hoping that someone will point me in the right direction.
The mark is a Trident with a B in the staff.
It measures 2 3/8" X 1 5/8" with a 3/4" strap slot.
