Silver crossed $80 today and I sold 20-oz to a local estate dealer for $69.50 an ounce. I bought the 20-ounces for $5.95 an ounce in 2000-2001. I now have lots of dough to waste on the Grands and Great Grands!

Looks like Metals are coming back with a fury!

Silver is over $84oz and for the first time, Gold is now over $4,600 an ounce. Platinum and Palladium also rising strong, up between 3.5% - 4% in the last 24 hours.

I remember selling them for thirty cents a piece back in the 70's.

Then again we use to get a dozen silvers in a day.
Today a War Nickel is nearing $5.00

Only by their original added value. If you bought a $30 melt value coin for $60 because of it's rarity and then the melt value went to $50. Your coin (all other things considered static) is worth $80. You might say, "But I paid double, it should be worth double".

That doesn't work, because ONLY the melt value increased. Not the demand for the rarity. Make sense?

And go try to buy a round.
Got a text saying a company only had 4 different items left in their inventory. 5 minutes later it was down to 1 item.
Everything else is on a call first or pre-sale basis.
The squeeze is happening.

That goes for the family heirlooms. Melt it vs keeping it for the kids becomes a viable alternative.
Lots of silver cutlery went to the smelter and more again this time. Antique value vs melt value, folks are hesitant in paying for a high price silver tray. The shop sends it in now for melting when they might be higher even.

My sister got the family silverware. If I had it definitely would not part with it. I found plenty of silver on the beach! What’s that saying…. pigs get fat hogs get slaughtered. Family silver means much more however, if I was desperate, I would cash it in IMO!

Bullion dealers use primarily 3 sources for price... ONLY 3.

#2. Comex
#3. Bloomberg.

All others are um..... lets just say..... heh
