Silver smiles! (junk added 8/11/06)

Hello to all!

I had a short bit of time to detect on my way home from driving my boy to his best friend's house from where we used to live, an hour plus away. So I popped in their old elementary school and hit the woodchips.

Someone had detected there in the past few weeks. There was craters here and there and most disappointing, there was trash in the bottom of their dug holes. They didn't pick up their trash digs. Well, I didn't have time to go somewhere else so I gave it a shot anyway.

1 and 1/2 hours and I found a few goodies, he missed a lot...
Only 23 coins and $2.70 total, mostly quarters and best of all, I didn't get skunked on keepers. I found two sterling earrings by the girly twirley bars. One has a Mother Of Pearl stone and the other an Agate stone.

Plus I picked up a ton of trash and nails from the play area, a pouchful. I also found three our four trinkets, junk jewelry .

Another nice time out doing what I love and filling my pouch a bit too.

The area where I hunted is a very wealthy area...that helps for sure.

There's an "S" on the other side, almost looks like a mini Superman symbol but a little different.

Does yours have that too?

It's a "Sketchers" brand shoe fob.
I guess this brand of shoes, popular with the elementary girls,
has all kinds of little jewelry fobs you can attach to the shoes.

How pretty huh?...lol

Here you go Bob, per your personal request, all the trash I dug yesterday. Maybe a hundred or so nice garbage treasures...lol. Just doing my civic duty picking up all this s***.

I wish...actually, I have always wanted to hunt a golf course,
I bet there would be a lot of loot and jewelry,
especially on the 1st, 9th, 10th, and 18th holes by the tees and greens.
Have you ever heard of anyone MDing at one?

I don't get to play very often so I am pumped to go
plus the weather is supposed to be perfect, 80 and sunny.

HI DBOO your ability to find jewelly is amazing and the way you i.d the jewelly too.did you use to work in the jewelly industry !! are these school parks you m.d a random selection with the possible standard of living from the area thrown in.too think that some else has m.d the park to and left all these awsome things behind.after seeing the trash pic, iwouldn,t send my boy to that school.beer cap would mean someone drinking in a school grounds.is that exceptable in americain schools and also gas fired nail gun nail and other sharp nail type objects in a school play ground.thats not good.most of the real good jewelly you find seems to be of the style from the past couple of years. is this a new school !!! or is the park equipment new !!!
