I returned to a well hunted park, well dug what I thought was a thimble until I got home and
went to clean it up., well then I noticed a set screw inside. no clue what it is but is cool.
I also dug a 1944 wheat and one so rough it is soaking.
got a 66 dime, a 65 and 69 quarter. but then a poor signal but it was a kinda high tone.
pulled a 22 cal short shell a pull tab then 1947 rosie poped out! bout time have not been doing well
on the silver lately. Nothing great but made my day.

Congrats on your finds! Silver is so amazing when it comes out of the ground after many years still shinning! I have no idea what your "what's it" is either, but ya it's cool, somebody may ID it for you. HH!

Great finds! The object in your first pic looks to me like the base of a shotgun shell made by Winchester Western. You can see the indented primer.
