CS tongue

[etex]

Found a Leech & Rigdon tongue to 2 piece sword belt plate at a homesite in northeast texas. Is in excellent shape, no bends or plough marks. Spent four hours looking for the wreath but no luck yet

[pepperj]

Great shape, good luck on finding the wreath as a future plough could turn it up again.

That is awesome! You may find the wreath where you lest expect it.

OMG, fantastic recovery. Congrats to you!
I feel your pain on trying to find the other half (wreath). I dug my "NC" tongue in a yard of an old house and never could find the wreath portion.
I wish you the best.

Hey, at least you guys found the tongue. I got a wreath & can't find the tongue! It's an unknown variety so it may be militia, confederate... who knows? Congrats on your BANNER find! My vote is in!

[Sobo]

Awesome relic, wish I could find stuff like that up in NH.

[TNGUNS]

Awesome find. At least you got the tongue that is the true identifying feature of the combo. Congrats on that find brother. A "CS" marked relic is the ultimate find to many of us.

That's what the call "the better half". Don't see too many of those coming out of Texas.
