Nothing too exciting being found today...tried a few new sites that didn't produce what I thought they would, but isn't that the way... here are the finds including a few first such as a complete spigot, 1857 flying eagle cent and this huge axe head... also managed this gold gilted button from an early colonial site which I thought would come in better shape but you can't win them all...

WOW!!! That's a great hunt in my book! I've never seen a complete spiggot and that axe is a beauty. I hope you plan to restore it. What are the odds of finding a FE cent in your area?

Hope to see you soon!

Those are good finds. Was that your first flying eagle? I have been lucky enough to find 3, but I have seen diggers go for decades without finding their first one.

I have never gotten a complete spigot.

Cheers,

Buckles

a flying eagle? wow that would make my day! congrats

Glad you came away with a couple nice finds! I thought we were really in for a good one, the first site we tried might be worth a return at some point when it's not as hard as concrete. I might post what I found up tomorrow, but it was a pretty quiet day for me!

I guess Paul Bunyan grew up there. That thing is huge. Cool spigot too!

At least possible twice. I have one from there, two from here.

Your "Made The Banner" list is looking a little on the short side there, buddy. :D :tongue3:

Looks like a good hunt to me. Nice FE. Been able to dig 3 myself. 2 this year.

Well what can you do when 5k finds don't go up.

I'm wondering it that might be a broad hatchet. Is the blade offset a little bit?

I would be geeked just with the spigot! The fatty would put me over the top!

nice relics :icon_thumleft: MR TUFF

Maybe not quantity but definitely excellent quality in your finds :hello2: I always prefer to dig out a couple of good keepers to digging a lot of cr%p.

haven't seen many dug from here... funny I have 2 1787 Conn. coppers, would rather earlier american coins but I'll still take this one... :icon_thumright:

yes it is...just abit... thanks

Looks like a few more than slim pickings to me . The ax is definitely a big boy. Dig every beep . That place seems loaded with relics and the coins are still out there . Minus the flyin' eagle of course . Nice hunt and finds :icon_thumleft: CMD

Great looking finds Patriot, love the spigot :icon_thumright:
Love the buckles and the gilt button too.
