Just started going back in the water last couple weeks. I've been in 4 times and it's been a bit slow. Someone has been beating me to the punch in one spot, so I'll have to try and get in front of my comp. My other spots have been slow since about October for swimmers, and I haven't been in the water since late October early November. But spring is in the air, aand my shortie suit is fine. Getting warmed up for spring break.....should be some tourist depositors in the swim hole soon. Here's the goods after my first 4 swims of 2023.

So after 4 swims with the nox I had an old tarnished gold ring that polished up nice. I don't see much gold that's tarnished/stained, but this spots wierd muck has produced them before....first they look like silver, then the black tarnish turns a rainbow Hugh. Also had a diamond crusted 14k initial charm with a crown, silver ring with diamond chip, loose ruby, bent open piece of scrap gold, a couple silver earrings, and pelnty of junk rings and earrings

Looks good to me for 4 outings. Like you, I've been headed to one of my out of the way beaches only to find holes everywhere. I'm not waiting for Monday morning, heading out in a tonight before low tide. Good luck on the Next hunt.

Nice finds and appreciate the pics and sharing.
And I know what ya mean when someone beats ya to the punch (bowl). Few yrs ago I was hitting a certain beach hard, 3 days in a row, and kept finding gobs of coins and just knew a gold ring was in sight. I took a day off and when I returned the very next day everyone at the beach was talking about 2 old women, one scanned and the other dug, who had found an enormous diamond and gold ring. One of the women was wearing and showing off the" BIG DIAMOND".
I could have died...have been searching that little beach for several yrs since and still haven't found a gold ring. But dang, I keep looking.

That's a great story @LawrencetheMDer .... last year I was in the water at one of the spots, and here comes the competition. I'm in the water with 50 swimmers so he dosent see me. I'm watching him do the dry sand from 40 yards out, when I see him starting to put his water gear on. I like to kill the competition with kindness 😌 so I walk up to him and just start talking......I ask him questions, and then start telling him all the secrets of the spot, and then pull out the gold rings and tell him I've been here for four hours !! I could see him deflate like a flat tire on the interstate !! That was the end of him for the whole season....never saw him again.

@billb Thanks bill....its been real tough with lots of wind and murky water, but....WOW...its nice now and spring break has started !! Warm, clear water, and lots of people losing jewelry again !! Spring break lasts a long time in the keys...as the different states let out there schools, we just get different spring breakers each week. Some florida schools are on break now. The season has begun !!

Heck, if THAT is a slow start I must be moving backwards!
Although things are definitely getting better now that warmer weather is setting in.

@LawrencetheMDer
Well weather and work has had me busy even more now !! Everytime the weather is good, I'm working. Everytime it's murky windy and rough I have off. The good news is I've been diving at work.....wreck hunting, shell and bottle diving, and spear fishing !! Now it's time to hunt for gold and have a good day off !!
