On this cob, I am not sure if to the right of the "P" I am seeing part of an "M" and "J." If so, they don't really match the pictures that I have of similar coins regarding the placement of those letters, but my pictures of those particular coins are not the best.
What do you see and what can you tell me about this one. Thanks for any info or opinions.

oh wow, what a cool find, I will be watching to find out more info on this one as this is not my dept..but what a neat find ya got.

IRS,

OMJ is to the left of the P..........Philip V
It's a common 1715 Fleet type 1/2 real. Nothing special about it, other than it is a nice find for sure.
Find 100s more please.

You guys are right, of course. I went back to look at some other half reales and found one with a clear mint mark to compare. Its almost an exact match. I wasn't getting that good of a look from the picture in the book I guess. Here is the comparison. Thanks.

Very nice 1/2's........
Love the dated on...clear 171? with full assayer, mint (SWEET COB)........so very hard to find Fleet date 1/2's.
Thank you for sharing........
Curious? how did you do these past couple of days? I'll try to place your face with the name.
