Hello-
This one has me stumped. Any ideas what the heck it is?? I found it along the Delaware River in an area where I've previously found buttons, coins, and relics from the late 1700's. I could have sworn that it had numbers and letters on it but I'm now convinced that was my mind playing tricks on me. The consistent thickness and shape makes me think it's something other than trash. Any ideas??? Thanks for taking a look. It's either copper or brass, and didn't have much patina but a lot of thick corrosion. I thought I was digging a button so this hit around 17-19 on my Nox.

Could be many things.
From a cufflink back , to an Orc's fake pinky fingernail...

That's what I was assuming, too broad to ID. Thanks I'll see if I can clean it up to see if there's an engraved pattern. I thought it may have been a saddle adornment or something horsey. If I figure anything out I'll report back. THANKS!!!!!!!!!

OK, I like the sound of that. I won't do any more cleaning but I'll research that when I can. Thanks!

Upon returning and clicking on your picture to enlarge...

I dont see the markings you were referring to... so i would not say the copper coin.
