Small Trade Axe? Tomahawk? (Need to ID a Mark)

This was found this morning at an old site I've been working. Found very close to where I found a large trade axe a couple weeks ago. The blade style strikes me as being a small trade axe but I've never seen this particular style. It is small enough to be a crude iron tomahawk...and there was a lot of trading with the natives in this area.

Any ideas?

A roofers hatchet is a distinct possibility but there are elements of this relic that just don't jive. It really doesn't jive with anything. I'm going to try to bring the mark out better...getting a clear indication of that will cinch it.

Looks like a match to me, just a broken blade. Given the confusion most of us had on this pretty it really explains why the crook picked this tool to modify and sell as a fake.
