smallest coin I have ever dug

This is without a doubt the smallest coin that I have ever dug. Have a UK coin book but does not show this "portcullis" coin in this size.
Found on this years UK trip. Have to get my rear in gear and write this post for this great adventure. Arriving home from this trip was greeted with the sad, very sad news that my father had passed away while I was abroad.

Great find. Assuming it’s in the vicinity of 11mm and 0.24g, it’s a Queen Elizabeth I silver halfpenny. Like this one, except that yours has an anchor mintmark above the portcullis:

½ Penny - Elizabeth I, England

Your mintmark is for the Tower Mint in London and puts the coin from between 1598-1600
