How do u deal with them when detecting my biggest concern is digging a hole a snake could be in, how would i get it to come out.

I read,i forget where,it was either the Black Mamba or the Fer De Lance that will chase you.I think its an old wives tale though.Anyway theyre not in your area.If they were leave them be,they would definitely ruin your day.

My favorite old wives tale is the one where a rat snake (or other harmless snake) is somehow magically interbreeding with rattlesnakes

I'm more concerned of the two legged snake, that why I normally carry a 9 or a 45.

I don't run across snakes all that much, and I'm ALWAYS in the woods. But one day in NY I was looking for evidence of a 1700s house that was supposed to be in that area and 10 feet in front of me I see a huge snake - i'm not sure what kind though I don't think poisonous. It had to be 10 feet long! and it started to slither up the side of a large tree. Still, I never left the area, I just kept
an eye out for that guy just in case!
