k, i live in the desert and this year and end of last, its been snowing alot , its starting to get on my nerves, but it only holds a day or two,only good thing it helps make that flint and say pick me up still it keeps me from outside.....

i can only imagine you all towards the east how bad you got it, i would seriously go CRAZY over there

It's not that bad. Sure, I'd rather be hunting, but I make good use of the offseason studying topo maps, google earth, terraserver, etc. It also gives you time to go through last years finds and research those. I'd personally rather live in an area with four distinct seasons than areas with two. Could be worse, like say Alaska, with 5/6 months of winter and 100+ days with no sun, that would be crazy.

it was pretty nice here in ne ohio yesterday ,high 30s but sunny ,now its in the 20s and we are getting hammered with snow,i just went outside and i could see my neighbors porch light but couldnt see his house,total white out

I'm a rookie but the winter has been productive beyond the hunt. It's given me time to learn, network, and study the local area. Tractors or ATV's in a local bar parking lot = networking opportunities with local farmers.

I have something to do outdoors no matter what the season.....Late winter/early spring happens to be when I do my artifact hunting.

Its 3:30am, Almost 2 feet of new snow. Lots of trees down, will take days to dig out.

cool pics 37, we got a storm comming in this week i guess, from u guys. ill send a picture if we do get snow, i do know this has been the wettest winter ever, or at least i can remember. i know the water is good, especially for us, but now there will be grass and weeds covering the desert come spring, dead and dry is a hunters dream over here. its ok, they are not going anywhere soon, been the 4ever can wait just a lil longer
