So, I just couldn't resist one more walk. 😃

Sitting around, waiting for the year to end just got to be too much! ;)

So, I decided a short walk around the mansion was in order. :)

This place is a wonderful to be, but it's pretty much just a relic hunt anymore.
Doesn't matter, I always enjoy anyway!

Here's the result:

This place never fails to make me smile with it's varied
and odd bits & pieces. :dontknow:

Happy New Year George!

Maybe you know, any idea what that item with the threads could be? No way it could be a plug for a powder horn, right? :dontknow:

I believe your big whatsit that people may think is a table leg is from a wagon. The wood piece that drug behind the wagon would have a metal end put on it to keep it from wearing down so fast. The round hole is for the set screw to hold it on and the almost whistle looking triangle hole is from it dragging on the ground on an angle. Slipped my mind the actually name for it but that's what I believe you have. Nice finds!

Good eyes, Gary. I never would have thought it an eagle. Very cool history on that one! Isn't it amazing how something so common as a button could capture our attention?

That octagonal token is really nice
