edit: have hunted pigs but never stopped to smell an individual dropping

I don't hunt hogs.
We don't have ferals running about often. I have raised hogs though.
But I've read that hunters often smell them.
Hogs on thier own don't smell loud to me. They do like most things have an odor of course. Like hogs in thier case...

I usually don't mind the smell of cow poop (I stepped barefoot in a few soft piles when I was a kid) but our neighbor feeds cattle in a confinement lot. Every few months they spend a few days pumping out the pit that everything in the lot drains into. Believe me, that stuff is ripe, and when the wind is blowing towards my house... WOW.

I also had a neighbor when I was a kid that raised hogs. I asked him once if the smell bothered him. His reply was "No, it smells like money to me".

I am surprised no one has mentioned baby poop! When you undo a diaper and that poop/pee odor hits it's all one can do to stay there and finish the clean up!
