Soccer Field Hunt #2 I've Had Enough

I went back to the soccer field I hunted yesterday to see if it would be any different in another section. Needless to say, it wasn't the same, it was worse. I have dug more can slaw and pull tabs in the last two days then I can remember. It wouldn't be so bad if there were some coinage to go with it, or a ring or two, but NOOOOOOOO. I did end up with a small amount of change, and feel lucky to have got that. This has got to be the worst soccer field I have ever done, so I think I'll find another one to take it's place. I didn't post the trash because you saw it yesterday, the only difference was there was probably more of it today. Onward and upward, I've got some leads that maybe I will finally get to find some of the OLD coinage. We are in the talking stage now. Now it's off to the weekly wild game BBQ.

A few coins are always good and just think how you've helped the enviroment by pulling all those tabs making it safer.

Don't be discouraged, you would have never known unless you worked it..you've done enough of these soccer fields to know you can indeed have success, that one was just being stingy

I am a little baffled by the lack of coins there... Maybe someone else has hit it hard...how are the crowds at these fields? Something does not seem right...especially if you are digging everything and hardly any pennies...No matter where I go pennies everywhere!

Now that you've cleaned out those two sections, I'd keep going back. Chances of finding newly lost jewelry is better now that you've cleaned out the canslaw. Maybe with a big coil you could cover the ground fast. I had one area of a park I cleaned out all the junk from. Made sure I always started there and picked up the new drops first, but also found older deeper stuff I had missed on return trips.

I am a little baffled by the lack of coins there... Maybe someone else has hit it hard...how are the crowds at these fields? Something does not seem right...especially if you are digging everything and hardly any pennies...No matter where I go pennies everywhere!

The lack of coins really gets me too. It is like some metal detector club had a hunt out there. I can simi-explain the pennies on this one, I discriminated out the zinc one so I would only pick up the copper ones, digging the trash was bad enough without having to dig half eaten pennies, but that doesn't explain the fact there are so few of those. I was talking to some people tonight that live by there. They said they always see people using detectors out there, so yes it has been hit pretty hard. These fields are in a giant pit, I found out tonight that all the spectaters sit up on top of the rim to watch the games being played down below. I haven't checked there and will probably go back and try up there.

I had a few off days last week...so I know the feeling. About a month ago I started a 3hour hunt in a tot lot about an hour later I left with zero coins and one mood ring. This is my favorite park and it always has stuff in tot lot not that day. Later near end of hunt went to the area the bums hang out...One started screaming I lost a quarter right there can you find it? He walked over and said there was a guy by the tennis courts and tot lot over the weekend...It was only Monday...so that explained it...we all run into someone else being in some of the spots we hunt... I would think if others are detecting you may want to still try the upper area...but if it is a long trip maybe lower on list...when in area...good luck.
