Well... I just stoped by my bank on the way home from work and asked for a box of pennies. I usually call ahead but I forgot today. They said the didnt have boxes but did have customer rolled. I took the customer rolls.

When I got home I looked through the rolls and I see one labeled "Weats". I have 5 total labeled that. I opened one and YUP they are all wheats! What a score

The one wrapper has a phone #. Should I call and if so what should I ask?

I will post pics later.

Yes, you should call. Tell them you got one of their rolls and if they have any more coins of any denomination, you might be willing to give *gasp* twice face *gasp* for certain ones.

Also, you should go back to the bank and get ALL customer rolls. They might have dropped some silver quarters, dimes and halves too or buffalo/war nickels

You have got to be kidding. Not funny!

Of course it's kinda on the kidding side, but anyone turning rolls of collectible coins into the bank for face deserves a lowball offer.

I think calling would be beyond awkward....

I agree, I was just gauging how the forum felt.

As for totals, mostly 40's and 50's.

I got 3 1919's and 3 1920's and mixed 30's. Not many but still my best find in # of wheats yet.

It's tempting, but don't call. Do however go back to the bank and get as many other customer wrapped rolls as you can; it wouldn't hurt either to be up front with the teller; let them know you collect coins, found some good ones out of the roll of pennies, and see if they have any other rolls from that same customer.
