some Arizona gold nuggets

its always fun to see some gold on here, so here are some nice Arizona nuggets to look at.

i found the tools recently.

any idea how old that pick ax head is?

That is a nice haul of Gold Nuggets! Congrats! I have no idea as to how old the pick ax head is but it looks as old as the Arizona Hills that it was found in.

i live north west of phoenix, a bit south of lake pleasant.

it took a few years to get them nuggets.

most all of them detecting, half with an old whites gm2 and half with a minelab gpx.

each one of them has a story to tell.

some of the ones with the quartz attached need a follow up hunt to find the vein they bled out of.

most are from open ground, with a lot of hiking involved.
some of the areas are under claim now.
one of the washes catches bigger nuggets in a certain crack every time a flash flood hits, and its monsoon season here.
ill be checking that out in a few months.
a few came off road runner claims, they have been detected pretty hard. may still

be some crumbs or deep ones.

i see your in the Pinal Mountains area.

my ex father in law had a ranch down south of globe off of highway 77.

there is big gold to be found around there and its not as hard hit as up here.

Born and raised in South Phoenix, loved every second of it, wasn't in to gold then but heres a tale from lake Pleasant from teen years,
Was out in the lake in a rubber raft back in the 70s, and hooked into some kind of gigantic fish, that was pulling me around the lake was pretty scary then,
to this day have never quite figured it out, probably a cat fish but when its happening your mind runs wild! Good times growing up in Phoenix.
Shoulda been a gold hunter back then.
