DSCI0560 [Desktop Resolution].webpi am hunting an old home built around the 1800's here in batavia ny i found these quarters and three dimes in one hole then i found the 1942 half dollar on a small hill in the end of the yard. its one of the best places iv ever detected as it seems every signal is something. i must have dug over 50 wheat pennies and tokens and 1940's dog tags i hope to get some of the older silver here soon. i am useing an old whites classic 2 sl does a great job.

Nice find. There's always something special to be found on an old homefront. Keep plugging away!!

From the looks of your finds, you are no doubt hunting in the right area!

Those are some fantastic coins. You have seemed to have found a "Honey Hole".

Good Luck.

It's good to see a fellow New Yorker findin' some of the good stuff. Great looking coins man. :coffee2:

I use a White's classic SL. I guess location location location. I've had great finds, but on single hunt with those kind of results. Congrats. HH

Very nice I love them walkers!

Nice haul! Any good dates? How about a photo of the wheats and the dog tag?

Keep wearin' out the shovel and you'll get the oldies! Chase the "iffy" signals as they can be vertically oriented pieces,I know I missed a couple of real beauties by hurrying......

Sweet silver !

That's awesome! I used the Classic 3 for a while, does a nice job when you know the machine and pay attention to the whispers. it was easy for me to miss some of the deeper stuff with that machine

Gotta love those walkers....by far my favorite coin

Great finds, gotta love digging the big silver! Happy Dirt Fishing.

its a funny thing with the whites "classics" detectors you kind of have to learn the detector, but most all my finds are the deeper ones. like you said pay attention to the wispers and the what i call the plip signal. i am going to be moding it real soon to get greater depth, and add a ground ballance pot and a threshold pot to it, and increase the sensitivity when done it should get another 1" to an 1" 1/2 how did you like the classic 3 did you find alot with it. i am currently looking into buying a classics 3 as they have the coil mod for that one. happy hunting. "god bless" ben...
