Awesome pieces Steve. I love these types of artifacts and I really cherish the ones you traded to me. Probably my three most favorite pieces from your site.

Yes it was the X on some is what I was asking about. Must of been a type of game they played.

Maybe some one will have info on some games.
Over here eastern midwest a game was pieces in a bowl or similar with pieces colored one side. bowl was struck down ward against ground if i recall right. Bets taken on how many were color upright? Awesome pieces!,thanks for sharing.

:notworthy: Amazing pieces Larson. Beautiful. Hopefully some more will come your way.

hey Steve, those bone pieces you keep pulling out of the filed, ....always amazing! Bravo!

Man you find the coolest stuff! Do you have an artifact room? If so, got any pics?

the square ones with the X were played by sliding them on the ice.....aiming at a target

the little rund ones were used in the basket game like you say

the name of the game was 'bah-dush-ka'

a set of seven pieces were used in the mandan game we have found all except the one with a buffalo face

my friend john brought these for me to post i really really really like the big one....the triple line X's and the notches on the L&R sides
also this morning he brings this shard with a little face and a flesher...i am glad in a way we have weeds that have to be turned over...and then some rain
just thought i would post it ....just sayin'
