Did the last third of the fresh plowed field today and finds were scarce. Some Prussian coins, 1940th zinc coin, two Roman coins, one of them an Antonian with remains of the silver wash and an unusual reverse. Need help here. Looks like a cane boat, one figurine standing, one kneeing.
Other finds were a bronze ring, gold cufflink rear and two pieces of a delay fuze. The clockwork recognizable happens not often. No rainbow today. Perfect t-shirt weather!
Site is off limits now, this week it should be planted....

Like the ring! Gz on all finds!

Dad if your watching, can you ID the coin with the reverse - Emperor standing on boat with Victory steering?

Dads ID:

That is a FEL TEMP REPARATIO reverse- Emperor in Military dress standing left on Galley with Labarum and holdingeither Phoenixor Victory on globe - with Victory as Helmsman seating in stern steering shipand A in left field. So circa AD348-353 like a Centenionalis of Constantius II Sears 18178 or RIC VIII pp 153 No 212. Could also be Magnentius likeSears 18788 etc.

Special thanks to Crudad!
Your: '....Victory steering' lends me in the right direction yesterday, but couldn't track it down exact. Too bad the obverse is shot. I'd like to add another Magentius to the collection...
This is one of only two sites with coins starting in the 1st C. bc and go till mid to late 4th C.
