Been a good year with some bumps. Out with a friend Friday and scored Gold Ring #93 for the year with the Excalibur 1000. Hunting in PP, working a hot area slow, passing shallow targets and listening for the faintest of faints. Doing the wiggle-wiggle over the target to get the strongest return. The 5.67 gram gold ring was down around the 15 to 17 inch's range, Four scoops. Turn your volume up to hear the first faint return signal....

A few Beauties from the past few weeks, not much time left in the year so this maybe it with the Holidays here.

Number 104. . Possibly date on this ring is late 1800's, Belcher mounted stone and not marked. Before 1906/7 gold was not required to be marked and belcher mounted stones were popular during the Victorian Period ......later 1800's.




Number 105...........with a few crusty silvers from the bays waters.



Number 106 13 grams 1961 Class ring, no name or initials. Still had the famous "Fitall Tape" on the shank of the ring. Girls would wear their Boy friends class rings and this was made possible by wrapping tape or yarn around the back to make them fit. When the fingers get wet we all know what happens then. Good Bye......cleaned up real nice..before and after picture

Looks like tanzanite !! Big dollars for tanzanite. What a beauty !!

Its not a tanzanite.

Yet I find the stone unusual. Id say its a sapphire with some inclusions at worst. If its a sapphire then Id check whether it has traces of being heated. If the ring is 10k then you should ignore this message. Unheated sapphires of such stunning colours are very expensive. Its worth a try finding out what the stone is.
