No luck last days. :'(

Been digging for 3 days, and this is what I found. >:(

Somehow (I don't know, how) I found some nice things... Not too many, not too old - but nice anyway.
Silver coin dated 1840, it's a popular coin in Poland - but if you don't have what you like, you have to like what you've got. ;D
Besides, silver under the coil is always nice. Isn't it? ;)

Also found a pendant. Not very old, made of aluminium - but the size of it, made me happy.
Looks good in my small (for now) collection.

This one, is a special one. ;D
Brush, made of a shell (WW2). Probably a soldier made it to shave himself, or to paint a helmet.
I'd say that it was made to paint, cos user didn't even clean it before loosing (throwing, probably...) ;D
I left it in the ground, for those who collects such a stuff. Anyway, I think that it's interesting find - so, I put some pics.

Also, I've meet a lizard which wasn't happy seeing me. ::)
Sorry, I like lizards... I know, it's off topic - but I couldn't stop myself... ;D ;D ;D

Pozdrawiam Matejko :) :) :)
Sorry for the lizard... Beer's fault. ::) ;D ;D ;D

Looked like you cleaned those finds pretty nicely. What did u use to clean that 10 Grotsky? Looks pretty bad in the top picture then it looks real nice. Was it just dirt on the coin? It looks like it has a bunch of crud on it. Just wondering how you cleaned it.

Nice finds as well.

What did I use to clean the coin ? ;D It's not a secret. Probably you do have it at home, Deerhunter. ;)

I use Cillit Bang, it's very good to silver coins.
I just put a coin into it, wait few minutes then gently cleaning it with a toothpick. With this coin I had to do it for 3 times before it got clean.
Hint. Cillit Bang has a slightly red colour, when you take a little amount of it and put a silver coin into it and start cleaning - the red colour is fading. I've noticed that if it fades out completely, Cillit stops working. If coin need more cleaning, you have to wash it with warm water, dry it and repeat cleaning with new amount of Cillit.
After cleaning it's good to polish a coin with some mild polish paste.
Do not use it on other coins, SILVER COINS ONLY. Once I've tried to clean a cooper coin this way - killed it, all patina went off.
Coin was awful after this.
;D

Here is the link to this product in UK. I'm not sure, if in States the trade name is the same.
Obviously, it's not a commercial link.
