Hey djpitr, we have the same scale :-) I'm snowed in like most of SC and thought I would post a couple pics. The pic below is one of the biggest pieces I've found in SC. I believe I got this from a creek near gaffney, or was in greenwood...oh wait, it was myrtle beach :-) Eitherway, found this in SC. The sad thing is, its only worth around $2 dollars at the current melt price, but the feeling I get when I find a chunky monkey - priceless.

Really pretty gold...better than anyone I know has found here in CO in quite a while!

Fun in snow :) no gold today :)

Cool pics and nice gold :icon_thumleft: I like that clean up sluice. Is that expanded in the center?

Yes its expended mash that is used in construction , home depot have it in 4x6 feet sheets , its little soft bud it works great for clean up sluice , i was loosing some gold when i used just ribbed rubber , this works great .

I'm up for it too. I'll be coming from Laurens, but always up for a 4 hour drive to try a new spot.

Hello everyone.. just stumbled on this site. I have panned a few times at a mine in NC and found a few colors. I'm looking to get outdoors and do some prospecting. I don't have any gear but am willing to help someone out that does. Not looking to keep anything for myself, just want to get outdoors and try to find a little gold. Anyone wanting to meet up in the York County area let me know!

Goldslagger // how did you know the name of the creek ?? :) it was ok

Nice video Djptr! Makes me want to get back out there and film some more as well. Looks like you guys had a blast.

Heres indy's latest video of me and him working two creeks:

I have a lot more footage from my last couple trips I have to edit still but I will get that up when I can. Also I plan to do a cleanup video showing some cons from last year that I still havent done a cleanup on yet.

And yes we hade a great day , this guys are great , i have feeling that there will be alot of videos comeing with us , camping , relaxing , enjoying outdoors , and finding some color .

Creek 300 , from sunday :) it was nice day

Hey djpitr, Its always good times when you can get out on a nice day, no matter if you find much color or not :-) I've never prospected in TN, but here theres gold there. I have yet to stay overnight at a prospecting site, but heard thermal city is not a bad stay, fairly reasonable cabin rates too and you can always bring a tent. I've thought about heading up that way when it opens, atleast that way you can get some of the flood gold thats developed over the winter since its not open.

Sounds like a good time, I am ready for some chunkier gold :-)
