So, did a little research and so far Holcomb Valley is looking pretty good. Has camping grounds always nice, if anyone has been there how is it for this time of the year?

I love the cold, also from history apparently 3lbs of placer gold was found daily back then, that makes me real excited, not that I will find that much, but that isn't bad for down here.

Steven ,Holcolm Valley certainly still has plenty of gold left. Like any mountainous area , the weather can become nasty in an instant.Most of the area is under claim. Gpaa, Valley Prospectors [I think] and others. Due your due diligence , use My Land Matters and save yourself some grief. Good luck

BTW , in Holmcolm Valley , like many places, be sure to look for the red dirt.
