Spiked with good MOJO

[ModernMiner]

Well Folks,
No one wanted to take the dog (Sud's) for a walk this morning, so I did it. I'm glad I did too. As I was rounding the turn headed for home, I spotted a $5.00 bill laying in the gutter!!! It was soaked, but I'll take it. I looked around for more, but it is so windy today who knows where others may have ended up?

BDoo,
The good MOJO is paying off already.

I thought I'd throw a picture in of my growing collection of spikes and nails too. I'll probably put them in a shadow box some day.

Oh yeah, one more thing. Do you see the stone bench in the background? Those are actually steps off an old school house in Indiana that Abe Lincoln once visited. I bought them at a farm auction many years ago, and have toted them back and forth between Indiana, California, and North Carolina. It's a historic piece to me, just to know ol' Abe once stood on them.

Have a great week everyone,
MM

Love those spikes and nails. Do you have any date nails? I really find them interesting.

Well good morning Miss Molly. Great to hear that you and Suds got out for a stroll. I'm sure you're finding walking the dog in those hills can be quite difficult. Good thing you didn't have to chase after that $5, what with the wind blowing like it was.

COOL spike collection! Congrats on that $5 too!

Nana

ps..nice 'manly' photo too!

Hey MMiner! Nice way to start off the day. Live in western NC, are you east?

[tymcmurray]

That is quite a nice collection of spikes!

Tac,
No date nails yet, but I've nailed a few dates in my day.

Nana,
I tried to regain my manly status again. Maybe not with the TN folks, but my family at least.
You can't even notice I'm wearing a girdle in this photo, can you?

You got me on that one. Anyway, if you'd like to look here is a good site on the dates - nails that is. I'm still looking for a site where dates want to get nailed.

Thanks for that cool site. I never even knew those existed. Very informative. The site I hunt has a RR right only side of the property, but it is Southern Railway. I see Southern Railway didn't use the date nails like others did.
I will keep an eye out for those from now on though.
Thanks again, and good luck finding your site.

I think the "spike's" are cool MM,little bit of visual history......Congrat's on the 5 buckaroo's but you seriously need to quit the Girdle thing.

I think I misunderstood my wife Civil?
She must have said "put on the griddle" , not girdle?
