In south Arkansas, this is a sure sign that spring is coming. Jonquils are blooming all over. One cool thing here (and probably elsewhere) is when you pass an empty field and see these flowers growing in a square or rectangular pattern, it means there used to be a home there. Sometimes a great place to get permission to detect.
