I slipped out last night for a quick trip to the honey hole. Just an hour or so, to make sure that the mosquitos were getting fed. After I have been away, they all gather around my feet, just like puppies, so glad to see my return...

I got a few wheaties and a heartbreaking 1940 nickel, not a war nickel, nor a buffalo... just a plain nickel. Then I got what sounded like a silver dime on the Deus, but the numbers were really jumpy, about 6" down, this silver coil pops out... apparently the digger hit it. It's a snake ring, but the details are worn off of it... you can just barely see where it used to have scales on it.

Not a bad night time stroll........with those finds, you may be taking that walk more often...........

Nice to see your sterling snake ring. My friend Wayne, the one I want to introduce you to just caught his 8th copperhead in his yard this year. This one was 2 1/2' long. I could NOT live there.
