Sterling - From the free table - at the dump

I got this at the local transfer station today . I don't know how much it weighs , because the base is weighted with lead .

Looks like someone married a sterling picture frame to a sterling cigarette case. Pretty cool it was sitting there for nothing.

I polished it . I think tamrock is correct . Cig Case - Frame . ....I think it's both ....... It says GOOD MORNING and there is a nice place to put a cig .

It's interesting. Maybe a memorial made of the personal item of the deceased. I see a British sterling hallmarks on the cig case. Does it have a legible date mark? Also that Motif on the top of the picture frame looks added and to me and appears to be a seahorse? It probably meant something to someone some time ago, but not so much to their descendants who then thought it as junk and threw it away.

Maybe someone broke their cigg case, had an old pic frame laying around, and decided to test their soldering abilities....

When my Dad was a tool room foreman, he would take old pipe threads & some silver sorter, make belt buckles outta them.
I still have 1 or 2, somewhere around here.

I believe the date hallmark is the letter ''M'' after the ''lion ''
which stands for 1907 & 1927 . It has a art deco look to it , so I'm thinking it its around that time frame .
