A short hour and a half search of a pounded park that didn't turn out too bad......Lord knows I have done worse. I post this just to let other newbies know that not all of us find hammered Roman coins, and gold and Civil War buckles, etc. The best part is, I got to go locating and I found some silver!!! Anyone have any idea about the hallmark, RJ 7 ?

37 coins (all clad), one golf token, two paper clips, one bobby pin, one broken key, one gold colored thumb tack, a shiney thing?, a bolt, a washer and a cool silver ring...works for me!

I know it is silver, but, could find nothing on the hallmark???

Good hunting to all...........

I would guess that RJ is the maker's initials and perhaps made in 2007?

7 could be the size of the ring.

Nice looking ring... Congratulations on the silver...

Nice Ring, Congrats! :icon_thumright:

I forgot to mention the best part........I only dug one beaver tail and one poptop, both of which produced perfect nickel signals. This park is infested with pull tabs!

Oh yeah, after a lot of research :read2: , I have come to the conclusion that the "R J" hallmark stands for "Royal Jewelery"........this, undoubtedly, has been worn by the Queen herself and probably lost during one of her visits to the U.S.A. I'll be considering any bids over $1,000 to start. ::)

Amen buddy. We dont all have access to sites with hidden caches of silver and CW memorobilia.
Alot of times it's quick public park hunts between baby sitters, and nothing but clad.
It's a hobby and a fun one at that. Go and get some exercise, talk to some people, and dig a little.
Nice finds btw!!!

I am happy just to get out, and even happier to find anything. Great hobby.

Always great to get out and swing.

Yep, I know that's right. I've even been known to dig an unsteady signal and find a piece of iron next to a coin.......you just never know till you dig it.
