It's getting smaller the more rust buildup I take away. Of course wishful thinking wants it to be a pocket pistol. It's got a ways to go on the cleaning. I don't want to waste my time if it's another cap gun which it might be. I got plenty of complete ones.

It looks real. Grip is heavy duty. It has a recoil shield on the right that looks right. It still might be hard to identify after cooking it.

It looks robust anyways..
The two lugs on the very front I don't recognize.
A break top has pretty round side the fastener for the pivot point runs through. With the round points being spaced wider than the shown lugs. (Far outside each side instead.)
Current existing shield is a bit small for common revolvers.
A lot of handgun designs in the world though...
Those two lugs up front being matched to a known design would help.

Looks to me like there is a lot of carbon built up in the area where
the pin would be hitting the primer/cartridge.
