Still open today

This is The Rescue General Store and Post office in 1916. Constructed in 1894. The fellow on the right was the great grandfather of one of my closest friends.
The store is till open today but the post office has moved across the street. Then and now it is the closest store to my home

This is the building that the PO moved to, both still there today. built a couplle of years after the store. Upstairs is a stage and sprung dance floor the bldg if called the Rose Springs Literary Society Hall. Will get current pics of both.

Well, I haven't made it up the hill yet but I did manage to find these pics taken four or five years ago, not sure who the photographer was. The RSLS has changed a bit since then but the store still looks pretty much the same
