stirrups?

Found these at an old 1880's era camp. Are they saddle stirrups? If they are, they sure had small feet back then! They both are only 3 1/2 inches wide. Info please.

[Cruisin]

Side saddle stirrups were really small. They were designed for just the toe of the lady's boot to fit in. Also, women's feet were much smaller then.

Thanks Cruisin, that's fascinating. To think of a woman way out there in the middle of nowhere at that old camp......with those rowdy cowboys!!!
