long day
stared out at a few different places
rained
lost my cheapo knee pads
had to go buy a new set splurged and got a good carpenters pair like them lots
ended up relic hunting at a dump thats an easy hike close to the road nothing stellar
had to go pick up the lady at work at 1 pm
so dropped her off then headed out to"the barber shop"
rain had stopped and sun poped out for a few minutes so i had to make a break for it!!!
this spot has been pretty good for coins (tons of trash)
got there at 2 pm
had 1 hour and 45 minutes to get it dug(had to pick up the kid from work)
at 3.44 i got one more "good signal" at about 3 inchs
it was a little spotty but good 3 ways after X'ing it
dug down hit a 2 inch root right off
pulled out the root saw
the the signal POPED
with a slight broken to the side of it
first this poped out(hence the broken tone)

i was like "OH DRAT"
then these sweeties were laying in the "whole" (hence the solid tone)
then the cell rang and had to go home
talk about at the wire!!!!

Wow, that is a find to remember when your 90! That purse even held up, hard to believe the cloth is still there. Think i'd put those all together in a little case and show em off !

You might be able to ask someone at a local museum how to clean and preserve the cloth purse... That's if you intend on displaying it.

the leather is falling apart its had it
i was thinking of clear coating it in
with this spray they use to keep pencil drawings from smudging
basically soak it down let it dry
i have a box just need some foam and some cloth and all good ;D ;)
or saddle soap the leather preservative might work :-\

Ya know Ed, those indians would be great to bring to JD's next Missouri hunt and give away as doorprizes. Better yet, Mike, Scott, John, and myself could have a contest and whoever drinks the most beer gets them all. ;D

That's a cool find and just gives me goose bumps thinking about pulling something that old out of the ground.

Nice job!
