The Intertropical Convergence Zone looks like it will be heating up in the near future.. A lot of moist air seems like it will be pushing away the Saharan dust layer also

It's kind of funny how just about everyone in a hurricanes path would be saying "oh no! I hope we don't get one!" I am a Florida native, seen many hurricanes, after the 3 that hit my home in 2004 I have no desire to have another hit my home, BUT a near miss off the coast maybe 40 miles is a different story....

Sandy was the perfect Florida storm. Thats my ideal scenario for a hurricane. Stay off shore and churn.

I don't think anyone here wants to see a direct hit by a major hurricane. Most of us Floridians have seen the destruction they bring. I personally know several people who lost their homes and everything they owned to storms, and would not wish that on anybody. But some beach erosion from a passing storm does nobody any harm.
