Stormy weekend produces GOLD

Been raining so much here in Connecticut that the beach depositors have been staying away......and I think the new detectorists too!! Many targets this weekend.
Hit a rocky beach on Friday night and found a 14k white gold wedding band.
Sunday we were a little late in getting up but low tide was still way out. Hubby found 2 watches, clad and an assortment of junk. I found a nice 14k bracelet, clad and junk.

Very nice finds . Do you know what the FG that is stamped inside the ring stands for. I have heard many things such as "filled gold", "fine gold" and the Jewelers ID Mark. I am curious because I found a gold wedding band with the same "fg" mark but no definative answer.
