Usually when I find a 1960-1980 stamped half I just toss it, but those one was a 1983P beat to hell (nicked, dented and scratched) but was as shiny as my 1987 NIFC's
Rim looked silver as well, no evidence of a band. Was this just another plated made for suckers?
EDIT: I will try to put up some pictures when I get home in a few hours. I figured that since there was a huge market for cheap gold plated ones perhaps this fell under the same category.
