Finally weather is breaking in Central VA. Hit an old homesite that has produced a VMI and early artillery buttons with a fair amount of trash to go along with it. Had a great day with my favorite being the colonial shoe buckle. Also never found an 1812 button with Regiment number stamped in shield. This site goes back to the late 1700s with the remnants of the house perched up on a knoll. Happy Hunting

That is a very intricate shoe buckle frame and it's completely intact, which is a miracle. Congrats on the War of 1812 button as well.
