Stupid 2008 Halves!

I picked up my 2 boxes of halves today....

In addition to the 2 40s, the first box had AT LEAST 250-300 2008s! Each roll had at least 5, some had closer to 10, one was almost solid. Looks like I got the sucky end of someones collection...

Box 2 was a skunk, though it had about 50-100 more 2008s and 7 proofs, which were all next to each other in the same roll.

I never want to see a 2008 Half Dollar again!

Box 1 had 2 silver rosies and box 2 had 1 Merc.

Only 1.7M, from each mint (P & D), were made that year.

I'd consider keeping all that I could comfortably afford.

I don't collect NIFC but I was thinking the same thing

In the first box I ever did of halves, I ended up with 30 or more NIFCs, most from 2007, a good portion from 2008, and a couple of badly beat up 2010s in there. I'm keeping them, they'll turn out to be like the 1987 someday...

That's like the 2003s around me, it's almost as if they grow on trees here... I keep the nicer ones but it seems like most of them are rather dirty and beat up. I've never found near that many at one time though
