I've had my XLT. for over 20 years. still works well . i've using my old TINYTEE DELUXE probe, it's about 20'' long an over 20 years old. ben thinking of geting a SUN RAY target probe,INVADER XL-1 . an made for XLT. if anyone has ever used one ,on a XLT. an I wonder how much of a battery draw will it have on my XLT. it sells new for 175 bucks. or should I just buy a new pinpointer ?

I love my sunray for my xlt, I didn't like it at first and was thinking on returning it, but gave it some time and ended up liking it more and more. Really nice having it on the machine! It doesn't run your battery down at all, only thing u have to watch out for is remember to switch it back to coil before you start swinging again, I forget sometimes, and go for a bit, and don't get any hits, then I remember the switch was still on probe, and have to go over the ground again where I just went. Oh well, a blast no matter what!

The XL-1 works great on the XLT. I have sunray probes on all my detectors with the exception of the Beach Hunter for obvious reasons.

I love mine I hardly use the hand held pointer anymore... no bat drain either I love it I highly recommend it

I only have the Sunray probe on my Sov GT and wouldn't be without it. Should have it on all land detectors. The range is like 6 inches unlike the 1 to 2 inches you get with the toy probes. A nice thing too is you can't leave it behind. Doesn't run down the batteries at all.
