Sword or no Sword

Got out today and found what I think is a sword broken off at the hilt. I can't think of what else it could be. Take a look

Looks to be a cultivator blade from a tractor attachment.

Edited: it's a scythe---some people use the words scythe and sickle interchangeably.

I think it too long to be a cultivator blade. The sickle blade makes a lot of sense since this area had settlers since 1742

Looks too thin for a scythe blade,but that doesn't mean it's not.... and guessing by the deck boards it's around 32 inches long? Look at the base of it really closely and see if there are any markings of any kind.

With the curve, its 34 in long. I don't see anything near the top but that's where it seems to be broken.
