- Detector(s) used
- Minelab E-Trac, Excal 1000, Binford 5000 super hunter
Well it wasn’t me this time. It was one of my hunting buddies.
How many of yall have gone out detecting and you machine messes up?
Well that happened to my buddy this morning. I caught a wild swinging and I think some cussing out of the corner of my eye, and looked over to se some very aggressive moves towards my buddies DFX.
The lifeguard stand wasn’t to far from the antics and I was expecting to see the detector wrapped around the stand. But he kept his cool and only slammed it to the sand with his earphones still on his head. This in turn ripped his glasses from his head, witch even made things worse. As the sand scoop went flying, I thought to myself, stay where you are.
After the allotted mad detectorist syndrome had seamed to wear down, I started over to the disgruntled hunter.
I cannot repeat the following words, but everyone else on the beach could.
Well after a few moments and using my coil, it looks to be his coil has a problem.
Well he went back home to get his XLT, leaving me alone. I thought that was cool for him to let me hunt while he went to get his other detector.
I rode with him and my cell phone was still in his truck. And you know what? He came back! See, good friends do calm down.
Now all he has to do is dig all that sand out of the knobs of his DFX.
Hey, we going hunting tomorrow?
