Well, I headed out to my favorite hunting spot out on a friends ranch this past weekend...I have been hunting this cabin spot for almost two years now, and it has never failed to give up some great relics...well this weekend was no exception, as it FINALLY gave up its' first coin! It's not that old, but like I said it is a first in almost two years of hunting...it is a 1916D and is in really great condition..This is my first hunt of the site with my new X-Terra 70, and I am very pleased with how it worked for me! I am still learning the machine, but put in a good 12 or 13 hours over a two day period, and dug alot of firsts this weekend! I was very pleased with how many of the finds came from over 6-7" deep...I also found my first complete harmonica! Along with that I also found a small part of another one...The first buckle of the weekend that I found was pretty deep, 7"+ and appears to be in excellent condition...can anyone help with iding or a date? Also found what appear to be tent rivets, or at least they look similar to ones I have seen on the net here..I will have to post other photos in another post, so please look at that one and help me id a few items there as well! The next piece I found was what looks to be some sort of clasp, or something...it is gold toned, or plated, and has the word BREVETE on one end, and on the backside it has two stars, and on either end of the clasp there are the initials C G...There appear to maybe be some more letters or words on it, but I can't make them out yet...any clue as to what this was for? The last piece for this post is a round heavy disc type object...looks like it was a cap, or top to something...again, this was found about 6-7" down...it has a hole in the top, and what appears to be a keyway on the lip to help it to seat into something...any ideas? Like I said, there are a couple of more firsts that I will list in the second installment of this weekend! As always, thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

Nice finds, it'a amazing how many harmonicas are out there in this country. They must have been really cheap back in the good ole days!

Photos #5 and #6 are a suspender clip. Late 1800's-ish.

Nice work on the coin. The coins are there at the house sites--ya just have to work for 'em. Some nice old relics coming up for you. Congratulations!
