That's a wrap New England! (10 pics)

I'm moving to the South Jersey shore tomorrow so I thought I would post my New England finds from May to Oct this year.

I did my best to find some gold and got lucky every now and then with 11 total. Nothing worthy of those ring daddy gods but for my first beach hunting season I was pretty happy. It didn't hurt to dig this big honker diamond ring! One local guy here said this was the worst year for beaching hunting up here in the 14 years he's been detecting so I'm feeling pretty good about my finds.

The rest of the gold.

Being an old coin hunter I consider digging silver a good day. 31 silvers total.

Maybe I wasn't holding my mouth right for gold, I dug 878 pull tabs gawd!

ne1.jpg

342 dimes.

ne2.jpg

406 quarters

ne3.jpg

156 nickels

ne4.jpg

Gob of code blues and heart attacks.

I'm catching up to Jay Leno.

The reason I was constantly pulling up my beach shorts.

The huge pile of disgusting rotted zink slugs was not worth of a picture or counting! :)

Look out South Jersey! He's done cleaning out New England and he's heading your way! Good luck on the move and HH.

Well Neighbor, I am sure your new location will prove productive in the long run and I'm sure we will get a land hunt or two in this upcoming winter!

Nice finds by the way. :)

Don

PS, already talked to the famous "BeachComber" and he wants to get together for a land hunt, so we will get out sometime in the near future.

Ah, I will let Charles say if he wishes to, but it is the closest exit to me. :)

I'm off exit 25 in Ocean City, a half block off the beach! Tabs and rotted zink cents you have been warned! ;D

Hey neighbor, I'm pretty excited about the move to NJ. Ocean City beach has never been too kind to me so I'm looking for some payback. Ill kick that beach in the shins with a 15 inch WOT coil until it coughs up gold if its the last thing I do! lol

Whoa a land hunt eh, man now colonials and pre 1800's US coins that might lure me away from the beaches for a day or two.

Beachcomber aka the NJ Legend aka the space alien with xray vision good to a depth of 18 inches on gold, well I just have to find out where he's hunting and go someplace else because its bleaksville in his wake.

A few years ago...

Beachcomber: Charles lets walk quick the next two blocks because nobody swims here because of the rock jetty and there's never any gold here.

Charles: Okay

15 seconds later...

Beachcomber: Hey Charles check it out, a gold ring!

Charles: Cool, hey give me that big wad of foil you dug so I can make a hat and block the gamma rays shooting out of your eyes!

;D

I'm way up at exit 131 but if you boys let me I would love to come down for a hunt but it may not be for awhile. I don't do too many beach hunts and my next two plan ones are the outer banks before the end of the year and Mexico in February. So a short two hour drive is like a walk in the park for me.

Again welcome to NJ and may all your hunts find Gold or if you are with Don - old coppers.

Well now that you wiped out New England maybe we will see a few high priced detectors going cheap! :)
Way to Go on a fabulous collection of finds!

Not too shabby Charles!!!

That's a pretty nice haul, especially the $101.50 in quarters!! I hunt along a river near me quite a bit and I like finding big sinkers, I melt them down and cast balls for my black powder revolver (reproduction).

Good luck in Jersey!!!
