Those were the days of talented funny people who really could make you laugh without swearing and smut.
Watched a comedy show a couple of yrs ago and an Aussie standup guy was telling situational jokes. There was no swearing or sexual references, he wasn't that funny at all. Stupid and childish if anything. Nobody was laughing, you could hear crickets and then all of a sudden you could see the gear shift in his eyes. Same stupid type jokes but now its F bombs every single sentence along with other expletives. The audience was now in fits of laughter and clapping. They were clapping and laughing because he was swearing his head off. Without it he wasn't funny to them. How stupid is that! There are very few really talented comedians these days like there used to be.

So true! Red Skelton could make people just howl with laughter....never a single
swear word or off color joke.

I still watch Carol Burnett Show on MeTv....Still funny as can be... Tim Conway and Harvy Corman were hilarious and Carol is a legend.... I liked the early Mama episodes on Carol's show.
