Nice haul I see you have started to dig more relics as well.

Now all you need is a real metal detector..... Good haul toad. I just got a 13 inch coil. Gonna hit all my favorite spots. Gonna find seated. 85 days and counting.... Until ground thaws

Hopefully less than 85. LOL

I've been scouting MHAPO and google earth..... I've found over 100 spots to check so far. The only trouble is they are so far away.

I have this problem, Toad! Ive hunted almost all of my home towns spots in the last 2 years and now i find myself traveling further and further.

When was the earliest you guys hunted last year? I traced my first hunt back to the second week of march. Ground was thawed enough in some places but completely frozen in others. Im hoping to be shovel deep by the same time this year!!

I cant remember when we dug first but it was early the ground was still pretty frozen. lol

After the 2nd weekend of March, because that's the weekend of the Wild Bill 20. I found a few mostly frost free spots. I had over 8 silvers before the frost broke last spring.

I don't think we will start as early this year.

Have some faith.... My last hunt was 12-20-15 in mn. That is pretty damn good. Got two silvers on a warm 60 degree day out of a Cincinnati park. Now I bought a monster coil. Hopefully it will breath some life into some of my old spots

I decided that hogging all the good spots to myself was way to productive so I decided to give the Grease a call and we went to a ball field in the middle of a one horse **** hole located in northern Pine County. I still managed to find the silver, (39 Merc) and Greaser found a token for a cake of Palmolive soap. I'm thinking he needs to go see if he can still redeem it.... Who knows how long its been since he put a lather on.

Good find G/G. The silver content in that 40% half is worth $2.25. Stack silver.....the day is coming.

Well that was a lie.... found silver #12 of the season today. I also found 3 Indian head pennies so far, 1901, 1892, & 188?

Here's the YTD finds so far, minus relics. Add one more 1944 Merc to the silver layout.

I think Joeyo will crush you this year toad.

Guys, you find so much silver...You must be knocking on doors. Im still very much nervous about knocking on doors cause i feel kinda greasy asking people if i can cut plugs into their personal yards. What do you think is your success rate for gaining permissions when you door knock? And how do you go about doing so to get the go-ahead?

Toad will rule eventually from knocking on doors.... I am going to find 17 seated.

Killer hunt in a St. Paul park yesterday.
Indians- 1890, 1892, 1903
V Nickel- 1901, 1920 Cuban Penny
Wheaties- 1916, 1917
Gold guilted cuff link, sterling silver hair clip, naval button

I love your video you posted... I laugh when you dig up the frog. We need to get out together some time you seem like a really fun person.

I thought I had emptied all those parks
