Long ago I made a post about the greatest treasure that I ever found.
A little bit ago, I found the second.
I have a thing that I do that lets me make sounds by cupping my hands together with my thumbs sitting next to each other.
By blowing air through the gap beneath my thumbs, I can achieve a vast amount of tones.
I've been practicing it since I was very young.
I love Owls.
Specifically that Barred Owl.
Their calls are very intriguing and exceptionally difficult to reproduce.
I can get them to answer calls, but until tonight, I've never been able to get the pitch just right.
Well I accomplished it!
Standing in complete darkness, calling to an owl off in the distance, he called back and then showed up by landing in the tree that I was standing under!
I didn't hear him arrive and about jumped out of my skin when he called from above my head!
A million mice because of my bird/squirrel feeders.
Hopefully it will nest nearby!
