There are many people who will say they never used that word. Maybe in a insulting way But there was a time when even chewing tobacco had the n word in it. Then they changed it to BIGGER HAIR. So if you chewed how did you order it?Without saying it?
Just think how the world has changed Did it start when some nice old lady said I don't want to ride in the back of the bus? Because now they all ride back there so they can intimidate the ones in the front of it.

Well said my friend

I commend those that say they have never used the N word ,I was taught it was wrong but then again,I was taught to respect all people. That being said... If you disrespect me and act in a certain degratory way towards me and prove yourself to be a whatever ____ ( fill in the blank here)an inappropriate word might fly out of my mouth but to use an ugly term for the sake of using it,no.

I've used that term all my life and still do where it is appropriate to describe a person who earned the name through behavior . There is no color line to it .

Personally, while I think the N-word is offensive to certain portions of our society, it's still only a word, and I was taught by my parents early on," sticks and stones will break your bones, but words will never hurt you." Perhaps because of that my skin is thicker than some, but language usage has never gotten me mad, it's usually the associated attacks that follow the verbage that has repercussions! People no longer, in this day of PC thinking to simply ignore and not answer stupid verbal abuse.

It should also be noted that during the fur=trade era in the west, The N-word was used by the trappers and traders,( both black and white) to refer to themselves, and usually not in a derogatory way. As I see it , and this is only my opinion, the farther that our society advances, the farther behind we fall.
