Lemme ask something that might be a little off topic. If Trayvon had been the one in Zimmerman's place, down to the very last detail, and every last detail means the trial ended in the shooter's favor...would the hispanics be rioting and beating up white joggers and generally being a group of troublemakers over their race of people? Zimmerman's mom is from Peru and Zimmerman selected hispanic on forms. To me, he looks non white.

Be it the media or whatever, I just feel that there is a half lit fuse for a lot of the black community, and all that a growing faction of black in the country seem to need is a tiny reason to get bonkers.

Seriously though, back the the original question I started with. Had Trayvon and George switched roles, and I reiterate...everything in the trial and verdict unfolded to the last detail?...would we be having this terrible ugliness from Trayvon Martin's followers? Would we? I think not, and I mean not like this at all.

As a college educated man, San Francisco based, I gotta say again, Martin had it coming. He was on his way home, however he did EVERYTHING wrong once he left the store. He would be alive today if he hadn't dressed like a thug and acted like a thug. Zimmerman would have been found guilty if he hadn't been attacked. Freeway was shut down here a day or two ago by protesters, SFPD is not amused, nor am I.

Top all that off with the fact they ruled against Trayvon Martin's criminal baclground and record with burgluries not being being admissable in court. Had a rape victim been defending herself on the stand, he or she,,,she most of the times,,,,would have had every detail about her social life brought up under oath in court, from prom date till now. A woman(or man) who was raped, gets berated endlessly, yet this one who was killed for looking suspicious by a neighborhood watch patrol...gets kid's gloves in court. Things have somehow become kinda F-d up IMO. Make it all about fair and open disclosure, without racial and political bias!

The idea would be to, very quickly, adapt a new Constitution, and what of the 300 million? Most would never even begin to understand what they have just lost, and would say, "Please get the soldiers off my street and let me get back to my texting in peace!

The new Constitution would be one which could be "interpreted liberally" and changed per any currant tyrant's whimsey! Basically all the changes that Liberal politicians have wanted for decades (but have been prevented from getting by our current systems of checks and balances) would be made possible by invoking a new form of government where in the checks or balances would work against Conservative agendas only. To be quite crass and blunt, if you'll allow me...And, I know....here we go again...The whole matter is an attempt to abolish....God....Guns...and Guts...from American culture.

Man, I bet I hate cliches as much as anybody, and is anything more tiring than to have someone invoke the three Gs again? But as long as God, Guns, and Guts rule the day, The tyrants, and dictators, form Milosevic to Hitler and all the way back to Vlad the freakin' Impaler cannot long prevail!!! Please don't tell me there were no guns in Ol' Vlads particular heyday...I'm just sayin'...

I understand your thinking and would like to agree completely...but, never say never...once in a while the sky does fall...ancient Rome, Berlin in the 1940's, Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III, etc, etc...every now and then the Titanic does go down...and all the smart folks said it wouldn't happen.

Crispin, it begins with restricting what guns an American can own, followed by more gun control and gun registration. Convince people guns are evil. Once you have registration you know where to go to confiscate...

Look at New Orleans and Katrina, they illegally confiscated guns there.

There are millions of us who indeed can see scenarios, although not legal where they would try

The resistance has already begun, I/we will not back up another step. I will never register the guns I have that are unregistered. The only weapon on file is the one I bought from a gun store for my conceal carry.....I will continue to warn my congressional reps if they vote for any kind of gun control I will actively campaign very strongly against them at the next election... Since Sandyhook I have sent no less than 50 faxes and emails to my congressional reps for my wife and I, have recruited more than 24 new NRA members and donated money to NRA and a couple more gun rights groups.........

Well said TH. I feel the same way, when anyone threatens to take my 2nd amendment away your damn right I'm going to stand up and fight! I have told as many friends and family about what's going on. I have called many times my state representative and congressman. I'm so tried of people saying this won't happen here, if you had watched cspan when they voted on all the gun control the first go around then you would have known how close it was! People of the USA have gotten lazy and are letting our government do whatever they want (look at all the scandal with nothing done to anyone). It is our jobs to make sure that our elected officials stay on the straight and narrow. Look at what is going on in Colorado, do you think the people would have thought that would happen in there state, I know I didn't see that one coming. But I must admit I feel much better about America with all you gun toters around then without you guys. You guys are the real American heros, (along with our men and women in the Service and law Enforcement, and Firemen etc).

I live in the country and the neighbors down the road shoot guns causing some to complain about the noise...to me it just sounds like freedom.

Thanks junkshopfiddler. I have never gotten involved with politics like I have with this administration. I hate BIG government and them telling me what I can and can't do. I don't want the government making my health decision, so here I am speaking up to anyone that will listen.
