The STUXNET Story {the worm}
All you computer guys heavy into codeing probably know the story, but for the rest of us peons, this is the basics on the worm. It is probably the most advanced worm ever launched. It's biggest problem is that it's TTL codeing didn't work [TIME TO LIVE]. That is probably because the computers were running "bootled " programs so they set the date back so they wouldn't expire. The worm is not a threat to the average computer because it askes several questions before it activates. here they are:1 Am I in a network running SCADA program? [Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition program] :2 Is it running Siemens 7 ? :3 Is this software controlling an electrical motor made by one of two companies?
If it gets yes to all questions it can only be in one place, Natanz. It Then burned up the centrifuges by changing the speed of the motors. I won't mention the name of the country that launched it because that would brand this as political, however if you want to know check out Smithsonian Mag. April 2012 " Cassandra Syndrome" starts on page 12.
